We also bought gifts for our parents, our godmothers (who both did a reading during our ceremony) and out officiant (pastor).
These people all had significant roles in our wedding and we wanted to thank them. Especially our parents and god parents who had significant roles in our lives overall. The gifts were just a little something to say how much they meant to us. We also wrote thank you notes, which were very personal and I cried while writing.
The jewelry tray was also just a cute way to say thank you for everything they’ve done for us over the years leading up to today.
Mothers
Family Tree Necklace
My mom and my husbands moms were pretty easy to pick out gifts for. I bought both of them a “family tree” necklace. It was representing the fact that their family trees were growing. It was a thank you for accepting us into each other’s family.
We both have really awesome relationships with the other’s family. I am SO thankful for that.
Jewelry Tray
The jewelry tray was also just a cute way to say thank you for everything they’ve done for us over the years leading up to today. You can get various different sayings to fit your needs.
Fathers
Our dads were SO hard to find a gift for. Finally I found a picture frame for each of them. After the wedding, we printed a picture from that day to put in the frame.
The father of the groom and the father of the bride got different frames.
My aunt collects angels so I found this for her and decided it worked well for my husbands aunt and pastor as well.
Pastor/Speakers
We didn’t really think about the fact that we should buy gifts for our officiant and our readers at first. We ended up buying these last minute (Thank you Amazon 2-Day shipping).
Thank You Angel
Our godmothers (aunts) both did readings during the ceremony and both happen to collect angels. I found a cute angel figurine that said thank you.
This also happened to be a perfect gift for our pastor as well.
I had a very difficult time picking out some gifts and an easy time with others. I love each of these people so much and wanted to pick out things that they would like and wanted them to know how much I appreciated them.
