Gifts we bought our groomsmen

To be completely honest, the most difficult part of planning my wedding was picking out gifts for the important people involved. I really appreciated my bridal party and everyone who helped out so much and I really wanted to make sure they knew.

I put a lot of thought into the gifts, while also keeping to reasonable budget.

The first people I picked out gifts for were the groomsmen and ushers. They were more difficult to shop for than my bridesmaids. We have five groomsmen and two ushers. We spent about $60 on each person. Gifts add up SUPER fast so we tried to get good quality gifts they would use, while keeping a budget in mind.

My groomsmen are not big drinkers or partiers and almost all the gift ideas I found online were beer mugs or alcohol related things. I racked my brain and finally found two things that I thought each groomsman would like and also get good use out of.

Dopp Kit/Travel Bag

The first thing we bought them was a travel bag. This bag can be used for a ton of different things, but the idea is that you can store toiletries in it for traveling. Most of our groomsmen are very into traveling so it worked well. You can also get a monogrammed one if you are willing to spend more.

They have all gotten a lot of use out of it in the last year. One said that even though he hasn’t gone on any vacations, he uses it when he goes to his girlfriends or travels to visit his parents for the weekend.

Another just always keeps it in his bathroom and uses to store his razor and shaving supplies.

Travel Mug/Yeti Cup

The second thing we bought was a yeti travel cup. They all LOVED this gift. I think a lot of people would like a yeti, but not everyone is willing to spend the money on it themselves and instead but knockoff versions (which are generally pretty good, but still)

We just got the plain versions, but you can get customized ones on both etsy and amazon.

Other Ideas

I had a couple other ideas I will share, they just didn’t work for all of the people in my bridal party.

We thought about getting everyone a customized pocket knife, but another friend of ours gave everyone in his bridal party one and we have a lot of mutual friends, so we didn’t want everyone to get duplicate gifts.

You could get everyone a six pack of their favorite beer (or soda) and a custom glass

Another gift idea is something they could wear on the actual wedding day. A budget friendly option is socks or a tie clip. Fun socks could give you a fun photo opportunity. A more expensive option would be a watch.
